Why Therapy?

Making the choice to come to therapy, whether or not it is your first time, can be a big deal. To get to the point of pushing that button, and saying that you would like some help with how you are feelings, thinking and reacting to things, is a brave, bold decision - and could be one of the best things you have ever done.

Everyone uses therapy sessions in different ways. Sometimes people like (or rather, need) to:

✅ Understand why they aren't sleeping well, or can't find the motivation to do things
✅ Reduce their negative 'self-talk' and unhelpful thinking
✅ Talk about a colleague they are finding difficult
✅ Try to understand why they feel so anxious
✅ Improve their time management
✅ Be better prepared for meetings
✅ Resolve conflict
✅ Discuss complications at home
✅ Talk about intimacy issues with their partner
✅ Feel less alone
✅ Process past trauma
✅ Work through grief (either recent or from the past)
✅ Move forward following an ADHD diagnosis
✅ Rant
✅ Cry
✅ Reduce their addictive behaviours, such as phone scrolling, drinking and smoking
✅ ...and many more.

Every single one of these is fine!

Counselling / Mentoring sessions are a private space to work through anything that is going on for you right now, either at work or at home.

My name is Steve. I am a qualified and BACP-registered Psychodynamic Counsellor, with a first class degree in Psychology from Oxford, who also worked for over 17 years in the pressurised world of recruitment and ran a successful business. Overall I have more than 15 years' experience of helping people navigate all kinds of personal and professional challenges they are facing.

I love my job!

Sometimes there is nothing better than making some time for YOU, where you can talk confidentially with someone who is completely separate from colleagues, friends and family.

Whether you have had some form of therapy in the past, or have never talked to anyone in this way before, I invite you to contact me for a FREE consultation, with no pressure or expectation beyond this. You will be welcome to ask any questions about what you could gain from some sessions, and I would love to meet you.

Whatever you are facing right now, you don't have to go through it alone.
